Iran, Turkey and the Arabs...

Was watching an interesting interview on Al-Jazeera Arabic. The guest is a Kuwaiti professor, a political analyst and an ex MP who was basically kicked out of the Kuwaiti Parliament and who goes by the name of Abdallah Al Nafissi.

The discussion revolved on the rise of a new regional power - Turkey, as a competitor to Iran, what will be the future developments and consequences for the Arab world, and what role the Arab countries should capitalize on in view of this new balance of power.

I have several comments to make and I am not reiterating what this Kuwaiti analyst said. Rather, I will use the above theme as a basis for some political reflections.

First, it seems that the Kuwaitis, but not only, the whole of the Gulf countries, are waking up to the fact that Iran, with its DOUBLE political discourse, is very much a threat, not only a political threat but a historical threat.

It also seems that finally, the Iran-Iraq war, and its necessity in thwarting Iranian political advancement in the Arab region for at least by 2 decades is only now being acknowledged as having been a life saving jacket, postponing the Iranian take over until 2003 - year of the American occupation of Iraq by not only an Anglo American arsenal but also by Iranian political figures as represented by people such as Maliki, Hakeem, Sadr, Chalabi, and the rest...

If there is one sure thing this American occupation managed to achieve, is the enhancement of the Iranian role and its consolidation not only in Iraq but in the whole Arab region. This is a FACT that no one can deny. All this endless parroting about an imminent attack on Iran is pure BULLSHIT and I shall show you the extent of this bullshit thinking by giving you more facts.

I've said it before and will repeat it again, one needs to understand how Iran operates and I have written at great length on Iranian political maneuvering, its use of Shiism as an ideology, its double political discourses and its endless tricks.

When I refer to the Iranian occupation of Iraq, people react with great bafflement.
The typical nonsensical argument I usually receive - but Iran does not have an army in Iraq. This is the thinking of simpletons, and please these kinds of simpletons need to stay away from politics and take up comic books instead.

Besides army don't have to look like regular armies, armed militias are also an army. And Iran has several armed militias in Iraq but not only. Hezbollah is another armed militia of Iran and to some extent so is Hamas,(or some of its elements). However I will leave Hamas out of it for the moment.

What is most important to note about the Iranian role in Iraq, Lebanon, Palestine, Bahrain, Syria, Yemen, Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai and I just learned that Iran is making great headways in Mauritania  (not to forget the famous Iran, Pakistan, Afghanistan alliance). Iran operates not only through the training, funding, arming and backing of armed groups in these countries, but its occupation is more characteristic of a POLITICAL occupation / influence. (and heavy economic investments are part of it)

Iraq is the prime example of an American MILITARY occupation and an Iranian POLITICAL occupation. A simple example is that all the political alliances in Iraq cannot be made without Iran's approval first. This is another fact however much you try to deny it.

This Kuwaiti analyst who has been to Iran several times since the 70's, said something very pertinent that not many Arab academics and political analysts care to touch upon -- namely that since the Khomeinist revolution, Iranian society with its political Shiism revivalism, has been holding a discourse (that was present during the Shah's reign but to a lesser extent) a discourse that is reclaiming its Persian roots away from the "Arabization" that has been imposed upon it historically. In other words - a chauvinistic discourse.

This is not news to me, Iran's contempt and hatred for anything Arab is a well known fact and Iraqis are the best placed to know it. The double discourse is presented, cloaked in Islamic jargon, where Iran tries very hard to portray itself as an Islamic country that is above any sect or race. The Iraqi experiment has proved the fallacy of such Iranian claims.

Iran's use of Shiism, is not so much out of love for Imam Ali, Hassan or Hussein. Iran's use of Shiism is nothing but a political tool to extend and consolidate its political and regional influence in those Arab countries. Because and I keep repeating myself, Shiism in itself as a sect is not a Persian invention, Qum only became the center for Shiism relatively late, while historically Arab Nejaf and Arab Kerbala were always the centers of learning for Shiism. Moreover neither Ali, nor Hassan nor Hussein were Furs - Persian, they all came from the Hijaz today's Saudi Arabia.

A short paragraph here. Turkey on the other hand has no "Sunni revivalism" aspirations. Turkey is based on  solid, well founded secular institutions, secular civic society and a secular polity -- despite the fact that its current government has an Islamic coloring to it. Furthermore the Turkish experiment - the ability to cleverly combine secularism, democracy and still retain its adherence to Islam - a reformed, democratic Islam,  is way more dangerous for the West and for Israel than an obscurantist theocracy. I personally find the Turkish model very interesting to study and  draw lessons from for other Islamic countries, in particular Arab countries. And that too - must be rather worrisome for the West - what if the Turkish model is contagious ?

So while Iran tries to maintain this "Islamic" political discourse, it is clear from its scheming in Iraq, that it has created, backed and armed the "Shiite only" parties in Iraq, and we all know the deadly sectarianism that these parties advocate and exercise. But not only.
Iran has also backed Al-Qaeda in Iraq and today this is a known fact that even Al-Jazeera mentioned during this program. Something that Iraqis have known all along.

The latest Iranian charade about sending flotillas to Gaza is not so much out of support for the Palestinians. Fact is - Iran is VERY worried about the rise of Turkey as some Hero for the Arabs. Diplomacy aside - Iran and Turkey have some important issues that are cause for an underlying conflict -- namely in Iraq.

Iran supports the Turkish Kurdish rebels, which have been a major source of instability for Turkey. Turkey on the other hand is very much against the annexation of Kirkuk by the Iraqi Kurds whom the Iranians fully support. The sphere of competing influence is Iraq - and there the Iranians have the upper hand. That definitely beats a couple of flotillas.

Turkey having realized that it will never be accepted by the EU, after many years of efforts to do so, (because it is a Muslim country - let's face facts here and Europe who is battling its own anti-Islamic demons is in no position to accept a powerful Muslim country as a member part of its European Christian Identity). And having realized that it has been left behind insofar as Iraq is concerned, Turkey had to make some weighty moves. It established solid bilateral ties with Syria, and tried to win over Arabs by playing a brokerage role, a sort of mediator of Peace. (Syria/Israel, Hamas/PA/Egypt, etc...)

The massacres on the Mavi Marmara were not a surprise. This was expected after the slap handed by Erdogan to Shimon Peres in Davos. The Zionists Jews are a vindictive, vile bunch, and they hit the hardest when least expected. The Davos slap did not go well with the Israelis - despite the 2 billion dollars worth of economic ties between the two countries. Since Davos, the Turkish pro-Palestinian tone has been rising reaching the Iranian one, even surpassing it. Something that Iran has not taken too well, either.

Most analysts believe that Turkey's new found role in the Arab world, will earn it more favors from the West, in particular the U.S - who will use Turkey's rising power as a balancing act against Iran, therefore weakening Iran's spreading influence in the Arab countries I mentioned above.

These analysts furthermore argue that the possibilities of seeing Turkey and Iran at loggerheads can become a reality further down the line --another example of Divide and Rule.

I disagree with the above hypothesis and strongly so.

I believe that everything will be done to weaken and destabilize Turkey and I believe that both the Israelis and the Iranians are very much hoping to see that happen.

I ask the reader to refer to my post of 9th April 2010, where C.Hills U.S ambassador to Iraq was interviewed, more like grilled...and I will quote a short excerpt from this post as per the words of C.Hills himself.

...for us, the Americans, we have a long term relationship with Iraq, we have diplomatic and economic interests, we have the biggest american embassy in Iraq this shows how much we care about our long term relationship. Iraq on the map is also the heart where shiites and sunnis meet, this is important for us, look at Turkey next door...(he did NOT mention Iran but mentioned Turkey...watch out for your ass Turkey)"  rest of post here

In that interview C.Hills rationalized away the incestuous ties between the Iraqi ruling puppets and Iran, as "normal" yet he mentioned Turkey as some - biggest Sunni next door.

It could very well be that the U.S including Israel realize that Iran beyond its fiery anti-Zionist, anti-Imperialist jargon poses no real threat. After all Iran did demonstrate its good will efforts in both Iraq and Afghanistan in bringing about regime change to both the Iraqis and Afghans as per the American plan with its new birth pangs for a new era. Again the Iranian and American Zionist plan seem to be in total harmony - and not by coincidence.

As for the Arabs, the most worried are Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Jordan. Now that Iraq is gone, their worries have turned into angst. Well what do you expect folks ? You wanted Iraq broken you got it...

Egypt is Iran's priority right now. Iran has been trying very hard to penetrate Egypt with its endless political manipulations - through Hezbollah, and yes, through Hamas.

Hamas is part of the Muslim Brotherhood, and is very much influenced by some of its ideology and political program - adapting it to the Palestinian context. Iran by co-opting some important parts of Hamas has also won over the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood party. A simple reading of this latter's daily rhetoric shows the extent of its sympathy for Iran.

This of course, worries the Egyptian government greatly - and the Egyptians realize that Iran's influence in Egypt is not a threat to their peace treaty with Israel as most leftists like to believe, but a threat to Egypt's political stability itself.

And this where Turkey's rise was a coup de force. And this is where the Flotilla massacre marked a turning point for Iran, and for the Arabs - who, as usual have trapped themselves by their own treason and impotence. It has also put Hamas in a tight spot, however paradoxical this may sound.

What happens next in Iraq will show who controls most of what and who has the most long term influence in the region. And Iraq shall remain the playing ground for the strongest. The one who controls Iraq, also controls the rest of the region i.e has all the playing cards to do so.

A hint : re-read what C.Hills said in that interview.

I repeat it again - Turkey watch out for your back !

Portrait of an Iraqi Hypocritical Opportunist as a Young Man...

I am always complaining about the hypocrisy of other people, but I have not forgotten my own - that of Iraqis.

Hypocritical, opportunists, double faced, pieces of shits is what a good deal of them are...I have no illusions about them...sure there are a few good ones left...they were true throughout, some have atoned and redeemed, after having spilled much blood - innocent blood, and some, sorry to say for the most part Shiites (a horrible hypocritical two faced ideology when thoroughly studied) and a good deal of Kurds (who will never be accepted by anyone except the Israeli Jews - their natural racist cousins and allies), have remained on course...on track...

The shoe polishers, the bend over sex slave boys of the Occupation is what they are...They have no pride, no dignity and no honor and calling them Iraqis makes me sick with disgust. They are the tumors of Iraq, the malignancy that has eaten away at the Iraqi body. They are the parasites of not only the occupation, but they are the parasites of History, itself.

Corrupt, spineless, immoral to the bone, they are beyond any form of redemption - political or other.

They do not fit a particular class, clan or tribe...they are amorphous, like an amoeba that feeds on....

They are the real disease that has plagued Iraq, that has distorted its history and that has re-written its text books...

They are the thieves, the rapists, the torturers, the pillagers, the plunderers, the killers of America and Iran and whoever drums for either...

They are commonly called - traitors. But for me, traitor is a mild word. Their treason goes beyond loyalty to country and history...they are the epitome of the most vile, most unethical, most debased of any society...the words - pimps and whores are ennobling - they do not even deserve these titles. They are the lowest of the low.

I am not saying all of that out of some vengeful spite, no am not. I know my country and I know my people well, before these worms crawled out of the dead wood -- the dead wood of coffins and mass graves...

I have met many of them...they come in all sizes, all shapes and all names...some with turbans, some without, some with bow ties trying to mimic their masters -- the English, like faithful circus apes...

I know their origins, how they got to where they are at now, how much they profited from the old regime and how much they are profiting from the new one...

I will give you a portrait of one of them...just one...but I want you to remember that there are thousands of them around...

This one is half Kurd, half Shiite. Just looking at him, you are filled with nausea. Honestly.

There is something so slimy about him, he looks and feels like mucus.

This guy pretends he was some opposition to the "dictatorship". Well the motherfucker does not know how much I've been around...I play dumb, most of the time...because I love cornering this mass of pus, cornering him my own way...does not matter if he figures it out or not, the important thing is that I figure him out...

He sat, crossed legged with his English bow tie, looking like a fucking ape straight out of Trafalgar Square, after having spent many white nights in Soho.

He flicked his Benson & Hedges, and said

- He (Saddam) and his Oruba - his Arabism, look where he got us ?! You know, I was a dissident, an opponent, he wanted me hanged...

I did some "research" beforehand, he was no opponent and he was no dissident, he was a civil servant who used government funds to have his kids (pimps and whores like him and his wife) study abroad, and not just graduate but he also used government funds to have them postgraduate.

With these same funds as a civil servant, he managed to buy not one but three properties overseas, all the while enrolling himself on the English welfare state as some political refugee...

The motherfucker calls himself a doctor as in a Phd of some kind...he managed to get a British passport, swindling himself through with his anti-Saddam lamentations, lamentations so typical of the Shiites and the Kurds. The guy has no Phd, the guy hardly made it through university in Baghdad, paid by the same Saddam...the guy can't even spell or speak proper English...but the English love him, because he wears a bow tie...and flicks Benson & Hedges, an education he got from his Soho nights...

Now that slime bag, son of a peasant, village hooker, would have not even dreamed of finding himself in England had it not been for the same regime he now lambastes with pride...

That son of a peasant bitch, from a village in some fucked up dump in "Kurdistan" where they are still picking fleas imported from Qum, only made it to his Mother England, because there was someone, somewhere who believed that even that son of a peasant bitch is entitled to an equal opportunity...

So they invested in that dirty scum bag of slime from Shiistan/Kurdistan and now he's wearing a fucking bow tie...flicking Benson & Hedges and puffing himself as some opponent dissident of "Tyranny and Dictatorship".

This is the kind of specimen the West loves...mediocre, filthy, spineless, immoral...this is the kind that is most malleable, this is the kind that is most subservient, this is the kind that will further their objectives the best...

Check other Iraqi bloggers, 99% of them fit that description.

Check the current Iraqi government, ALL of them fit that description. I know their history one by one...99% of them were on welfare in England, holding dual nationalities, now they are millionaires. 99% of them call themselves Doctors, and 98 % of them have not even completed undergraduate University. But the West loves them, because they are the mediocre pus filled douche bags of the Occupation...

One by one, I can give you their resume, their curriculum vita, from their days in flea ridden Iran and its rotten Hawza of charlatans to their heydays in England and the U.S.

They are the deepest filth of Iraq. History has vomited them once before, once, twice and it will vomit them thrice, and more, again...

P.S: Title borrowed from James Joyce to fit current Iraq.

Acceptable Parameters or the Dialectics of Resistance

I've just read this piece by Arthur Silber - Memo to the Victims. A powerful essay indeed.

He kind of nails it, not fully, but quite, enough to make the reader think...hopefully...

I say not fully, because he uses the "class" concept...I say it's beyond class...It's all encompassing this divide. Class does not cut it no more.

You've got to read his essay. He says what I've been saying all those years. The "victim" is allowed to protest only within the defined parameters imposed upon it. I use the word IT here with deliberation. Because the victim is ultimately objectified into an IT that needs/must fit some category. Some ordained, classified  prerequisite. An acceptable pigeonhole., if you like...

Arthur Silber in his essay was referring to the Spill, or taking the Spill as some starting point. Oh that famous spill, and the world stopped.

I, on the other hand am referring to invasions, to occupations...

He worded it from an American perspective, I word mine from an Iraqi perspective that refuses to speak the language deemed acceptable by the invader.

I touched upon this many a times. I had one post called "On Objectivity" on my Uncensored blog, that post reminds me very much of what Arthur Silber is talking about...

I had several other posts since - where I discuss how even the discourse of outrage has to fit in with the generally accepted conditions of how much outrage you're allowed, of how you are to express yourself, of which words you are to use, of how to go on about it, of how to construct your sentences... it's like the censors are now in your head - either issuing death threats, or harassing you with the fate of another victim, Gitmo or Abu Ghraib style, or tyrannizing you with the politically correct expressions that you are to use or not use, (and that cuts across class - that includes all those prime goody good two shoes lefties and anti war bullshitters), it defines the parameters, the context, the framework of how much you can say, when to say it, how to say it, it basically thrives on "colonizing" the victim ideologically, out reaching its language, its thoughts, its behavior, its ideas, its expressions, its feelings...I say "its" because this is the ultimate aim -- turning IT into a-  asexual, apolitical, amoral, IT . The more one can mold IT into an IT, the better IT is controllable - weapons, torture, ideologies including leftist class ideologies, language...all serve that purpose...

It is not so much stripping you of your voice, it is not so much stripping you of your individuality, it is not only about censorship and acceptable frameworks, it goes beyond that...It is stripping you in order to mold you into an ACCEPTABLE DISSIDENT...

Because with this kind of White colonialism which includes even the Marxist left, it is not about class alone, it is not about culture, it is not about ideas, opinions, it is about SELF.

You've got to get to the SELF. They've got to get to the SELF. A rape of the SELF in the fullest sense of the word. And what does a rape victim often feel ? Fear, Guilt, Shame...

They - they as in the Other who can't accept not only your presence but your very existence, (and this is where I differ from Arthur Silber - he is addressing Americans after all) will have to silence, obliterate, shut you up by ANY MEANS POSSIBLE.

Shutting up someone comes under different forms - the usual stuff : Threats, Torture, Rape, Killing...that is the immediate stuff that appeals to the sense of survival. It arouses FEAR.

But there are different ways to shut up the victim, asides from Fear.

There is Guilt
There is Shame
There is Cajoling and Seduction

These are simple words am using...but if you think about them carefully, you will notice that they are forms of Manipulation, another form of getting you to silence yourself  but the trick is that they make you feel it's coming from you and not from them.

These are ploys to DISOWN you. Re-read that. DIS-OWN you. It means you are no longer the owner of your own experience, land, country, idea, belief, etc...

The way they do it is very simple - really simple. They evoke "higher ideals" - some collective philosophical, religious, even spiritual  Ideal by which you are made to feel guilty, ashamed, remorseful for having thought, felt, experienced what you experienced.

It's an old trick but it works very well. I will give you clues how it is done

Your "empathetic" listener will nod, approve, say - I hear you, BUT
Your "sympathetic" listener will, nod, approve, say - I hear you, BUT
Your " compassionate" listener will nod, approve, say - I hear you, BUT

But you see - you are generalizing,
But you see - we all belong to the same "humanity" --- after you've been ripped apart, literally...
But you see- in cases of trauma like yours, your capacity for discernment is lessened
But you see - they really did not mean it that way
But you see - it's the intention that counts
But you see - we are all imperfect and fallible
But you see- it happens everywhere else

This is the politically correct bullshit I always refer to...

Your interlocutor then takes offense and starts with the shaming with  :

I would have thought that a man, woman like yourself, would act, think, feel, etc..this way
It is a pity that you generalize
I would have assumed that someone like yourself would know better
I am sure there is truth in what you are saying but maybe you're exaggerating here
Come on, if you look at it realistically, it could have not been all that bad

And I can go on and on...but am just giving you little tidbits of how the "victim" is not only stripped physically (through Torture, Rape, Exile, etc...) but how the victim is also DIS-OWNED and DIS-ARMED from his/her experience.

Re-read the above sentence again.

Disowned and disarmed means neutralized in its reactive capacity - a reactive capacity to tilt the balance again, not necessarily in its personal favor, but in favor of the objectivity of its own experience.

In other words - the "victim" tries very hard to articulate, express, describe, enact, etc...the experience and at each stage of its reactivity it is silenced.

In fact when you come to think of it - Silence, that kind of Silence becomes the only acceptable parameter in which you can be heard.

And Resistance, any forms of Resistance is exactly the opposite, It is the ability to zoom in, right where it hurts the most.

Spill it !

Watching TV is not a good idea...it makes me see Red.

All is devoted to the BP spill...

Believe it or not tourists from other states, like Texas are flocking to visit the spill...

Americans are now complaining of "lack of Ethics", kid you not.

Now Americans know all about Ethics because shrimp, oyster and crab farmers have lost their jobs.  And small businesses complain that 20 Billion dollars compensation is not enough. They want guarantees for the future. What if BP runs out of money - they say. American jobs and lives are ever so precious aren't they ?

Congress has grilled BP's CEO, with the usual American moral high ground position, the hypocritical attitude that is so characteristic of Americans. Makes me shiver.

And the best bit - J.Biden taking on the plight of the poor people whose income is only 10'000 dollars a month like those seafood farmers in Louisiana..

Is that not the same J.Biden, the war monger who wanted Iraq divided so it can be pillaged and plundered further, with more expediency ?  Is that not the same America who cheered a brutal occupation where over 50% of the Iraqi population lives in absolute poverty since 2003, on  less than 1$ a dollar a day ? Is that not the same America under whose occupation our rivers dried up and we have no more water and no more fishermen.

Is that not the same Americans from Texas, to Mississippi, to Florida, to Washington DC to elsewhere in this shit thole of a country who voted and cheered for more liberation efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan, be it under Bush or Obama ?

Is that not the same America that worships the dollar and the oil corporations, are these not, the same  political and cultural whorish offspring of the military industrial complex ?

Now that same America  is whining about the lack of ethics of big companies.

One African American woman from Louisiana said " They keep considering us resilient, so they think, we can handle more, so they dish out more our way. Well am not resilient, I want accountability"

I suggest to Iraqis -  stop being so resilient and read that last sentence over and over again and turn it into your daily mantra, because it won't get any better unless you spill it !

Back to the Recycle Garbage Bin.

Please do so, please go and recycle yourselves, turn yourselves into some compost, after all you are biodegradable like everyone else, or did you think you were made of some special material that will last for ever ?

Oh no rejects of a people and countries, your natural place is in the recycling TRASH, for you are indeed trash, junk, garbage...

The Human race is afflicted with hypocrisy but nothing beats the hypocrisy, double standards and crimes of the Western people/countries and at its head is the United Snakes of America.

Oh now the Americans have become so environmentally, ecologically minded huh ? Gulf spill and all.

Oh so now they are worried about the ecosystem, and the small hard working people huh ?

I feel sorry for nature -- for the sea, its shores and what it carries in its belly, as for you, I don't give a damn what happens to you.

You see -- nature, earth, waters, skies don't belong to you. They never did, they never will...and maybe since you have been so fucking haughty and arrogant when it has come to other lands, skies and waters, you are to taste an infinitesimal dose of what you have spilled in other people's lives.

Oh yes Karma is a bitch. So you wanted oil from the Gulf, you waged Gulf war after Gulf war, now you got all the oil you want, seeping right into your beaches, giving you a nice oily, shiny glow....you spilled our blood in the Gulf for oil and now you have so much oil floating, go and drink it.

I just heard your booma Obama, conducting top levels meetings with BP in the White House. Oh my Obama is so caring for the environment and the welfare of the earth. I was deeply touched. He cares so much about Americans and the Americans in turn care so much about mother nature. A very touching scene indeed. I nearly cried.

The BP chairman issued an official apology to the American "people" (hahaha) and pledged to compensate them as well as cleaning the environment of that jewel of a country called America. He pledged a 20 Billion Dollars Fund. Obooma said that was a good start but not enough to compensate the hard working people of America. He meant the hard killing people of America, but he assumed you knew what he was really talking about.

In the meantime, the wonderful philanthropist Prince Charles, was giving a lecture on Islam and the Environment. Again, I was deeply touched, nearly got an aha moment of total illumination from not so Great Britain. And even though Prince Charles is a little knowledgeable of Islam's stance vis a vis Nature, His Royal Highness glossed over the essentials. And I will get to the essentials further down the line...

And while Green Peace, Save the Planet, Save the Whales, Save the Tunas, Save the Polar Bears, the Tigers, the Lions, the Gorillas, the Iguanas...(am not forgetting Brigitte Bardot with Save the Dogs and Cats) and others....are actively concerned about the ecosystem and biodiversity, about the life of animals, insects and reptiles, about the death of the Amazon forest, the desertification of the lands, alternative sources of energy, how to consume and recycle consciously, and last but not least the Gulf Oil Spill....

And while all these ladies and gents from royalties, to heads of states, to Green parties, to animal lovers are ever so concerned about the slow death of our little planet, brought about, of course, by men and women and their endless greed for more...

Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Palestine, and even India just to name a few, have become dumping grounds for the worst spills of toxic materials, radiation, depleted uranium, waste, chemical warfare, carcinogenic triggers that will be stuck with these peoples of a "lesser God" for years to come...

Iraq is a prime example. Take this piece of info. This is from your respected(not) Western press
Will not give you the whole article - just a few headlines will suffice.

Large amounts of toxic waste from U.S. bases have been dumped throughout the country, according to an investigation by the Times of London.
The probe spans five provinces and reveals a grim landscape of hazardous trash and sickened Iraqis. The junk includes leaky oil drums seeping into the soil and half-empty cans of sulfuric acid. One private contractor reports 11 million pounds of hazardous waste has been left behind by U.S. troops. The materials allegedly end up mixed with recyclable materials and sent from U.S. bases to Iraqi scrap yards. The workers now complain the poisonous chemicals are wreaking havoc with their health. (rest of article here)

I need not mention again, the all too well known lethal/deadly consequences of the use of Depleted Uranium and Phosphorus on the Iraqi people. I have already covered this subject and the more than quadrupling of cancer rates and birth defects thanks to America and not so Great Britain, thanks to Bush, Obama, Blair, Gordon Brown, and the not so royal family of this cesspool of human excrements - in other word shits - called America and England.

And over and above the dumping of toxics from the West, Iran - the little darling of a whore of the Lefties and the alternativos, has been completing the West's mission of genocidal extermination and has been dumping its own nuclear, radioactive and toxic waste in Anbar, in the South and in Shatt Al-Arab in Iraq, further polluting not only the land but also the waters, which it has so generously dammed and diverted to its Shit republic, turning Iraq into a dying country of thirst - as well.

As for Afghanistan, another forgotten people alongside the Iraqis, are suffering the same fate. DU, radioactive material, rising cancers rates, birth deformities, toxic waste, and lately highly levels of deliberately contaminated drinking water with chlorine provided courtesy of the peace loving people of America and the West.

The West's toxicity does not stop at those countries only, it has even traveled all the way to India, where contaminated American military material with DU is giving birth to retarded Punjabi babies. And another piece of news that is not official those same contaminated US artillery are being washed in the seas of some Arab countries before being shipped back home, sparkling clean...clean from blood and radioactivity.

And the examples abound - Union Carbide in Bhopal India, White Phosphorus in Gaza and Lebanon, birth defects and cancer rates galore...and this is not to mention all the obsolete, forbidden products in the West, ranging from medicine to food stuff - prohibited for consumption/use in the West - being dumped in "third world" countries and in particular - Muslim ones. I can give you a list, and the list is long....very long.

So who will compensate the people of Iraq, Afghanistan, India, Gaza, Lebanon, Pakistan...etc. ?
Who will give them an official apology and pledge multi billion dollars funds to save the little they have left ? Who will clean up after the "civilized" West ?

Will Obama apologize, or Prince Charles ? Or maybe Blair, or Bush, or any of your democratically elected representatives. Or maybe you will apologize huh ?

So where is you reply ? Why the silence o' "civilized, advanced" people ?

The answer is NONE. No one will apologize, clean up, compensate...

Nay, what we have instead is American shits contributing 1 Trillion dollars for the "liberation effort" in Iraq and Afghanistan. 1 Trillion dollars to kill other people, other poor innocent people and not just kill them with guns and bombs, but also kill them in an even slower, agonizing death with toxic chemicals...

And you expect me to care about your Gulf oil spill, because Key West Florida won't be getting its ratio of holiday makers ? You must be fucking kidding.

You have spilled other's people blood with impunity for over 10 years now, non stop, and you want me to care about a few shrimp farmers in Louisiana or wherever the fuck they are ?

Did not anyone teach you that blood runs thicker than oil ?

I changed my mind, you people are not even fit for the recycle garbage bin, I would not even use you as compost, as fertilizer for my cactus plant. You'd probably kill it too.

It's All in the Head...

I went for my usual walk...my own way of gathering my thoughts, because sometimes my head is all over the place. And that's why, when someone asks/tells  me -- don't you feel alone, you seem so secluded most of the time,  my standard reply is -- you are never alone with your thoughts. I suppose my head keeps me company, or more aptly, my reflections keep me company. And this is the kind of company I usually don't mind...

Had I been with another person during this afternoon walk, I would have never found out what I found out today. I would have been too busy listening to the other person's chatter - woes and wishes...and the obvious would have eluded me.

Truth always lies in the obvious, in the simple facts...I know it's too complicated to understand sometimes, but the problem lies not with simplicity but with your heads.

I noticed that oneof the owners of one of the houses I usually walk past, has planted a couple of palm trees right outside his house gate.

Now palm trees always remind me of Iraq. Always. I don't care where I spot them, it can be in Florida, California, Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia or anywhere else...for me, a Palm tree equals Iraq. And I do miss my little palm tree - my nakhla as they call it in Arabic. I had one in my garden, but that was a long time ago...

I also noticed that these palm trees had grown, really grown, and they were carrying dates, green dates, not ripe yet...not enough. They would be ripe and give us their sweetness by September...

I saw the gardener climbing down one of the palm trees. We call him Assaf al Nakhal.
He ties a huge jute belt, bag, around his waist and climbs up to either cut away the dead leaves or pick the fruits...When I see a Assaf, I know he must be an Iraqi or an Egyptian who learned the art from an Iraqi, because nowadays most use electric ladders to get to the head of the palm tree.

But this guy was an Iraqi, I knew it immediately. I observed him climbing up and down with much dexterity...he saw that I was observing him...so I smiled his way and approached him... Salam Aleikom I said, Hala wa Marhaba  (typical Iraqi greeting)  he replied.  Yes, he was definitely an Iraqi

- Can I take a few of those branches you just cut ?
- Why do you take the dead branches, I can give you some green ones
- No, no, I just want a couple of those, is that okay ?
- Of course, take as many as you want...
- Just one or two...
- Yabba, take as many...you don't need to ask
- How long have you been doing this, climbing up palm trees ? I see you are very proficient at it.
- Ya ukhti, (sister), I am an agricultural engineer, but what can we do, destiny has willed it this way, I have to earn a living...
- But you do it so well, as if you've always done it...
- I grew up surrounded by palm trees, but excuse me are you an Iraqi ?
- Yes I am
- I thought so too...so  let me tell you about palm trees, not many people know that, every other kind of tree if you cut it from its roots, it dies, but not the palm tree...
- What do you mean ? how can that be ?
- I am telling you, they are my specialty. The palm tree dies only when you cut off its head, but if you don't cut off its head, you can replant it anywhere in the world and it will still grow...
- So a palm tree's survival is all in its head not its trunk, nor its roots ?
- Yes that's right, the head goes, the whole palm tree dies.

Need I say more ? It's too obvious. It's all in the head, isn't it ? The head goes, the whole edifice crumbles and the palm tree dies. It's that simple.

Lonely Silent Screams in the Dark...

I have already written about Raouf, my relative...the way he was tortured, the way he faced what he thought to be an imminent death, I even posted pictures of his body, and called it the New Map of Iraq.

It's been several years since the "incident". Calling torture an incident is shameful but forgive me, as words are eluding me...since the ordeal, since the survival, since the humiliation, since the pain, since the silent screams...since...it's been 3 years, but it is still very much alive in his veins, in his body, in his mind, in his waking days and in his nightmarish nights...

I need to recapitulate, go over the events, like he does on a daily basis. Raouf lived in a small house, with a garden on the outskirts of Baghdad...inside his own home he'd wear his boxers and would enjoy sipping a little beer every now and then...he was and is apolitical. Raouf is a dreamer, an idealist, he's into music, poetry, literature, tending his garden, looking after his cats, listening to birds chirping...Raouf was into life until...until you visited him with Death.

I met Raouf a couple of times since his torture...he's not the same man, no man can remain the same...he smiles, he laughs, he still tries to recapture shadows of his previous self, but he is failing...he said so himself. He said - "I have failed"...

His broken bones have healed so did his other physical wounds...except maybe for a wrist and a knee that still go limp...reminding him, daily, every hour, every minute, of your liberation.

I must confess, at this point - I avoid speaking to any of my relatives in Baghdad unless absolutely necessary. Speaking to them reminds me of my powerlessness, my impotence, it reminds me of your ugly faces, of the sectarian Shiites fucked up dirty turbans, of their rings shining in the sun's light, a scorching sun, where during the day - life is a furnace and at night it is a hell -- still with no electricity and no coolers and no AC, it reminds me of your ugly comments, your stinking minds that look like stinking shitty unwashed asses, it reminds me of you and your so-called good will actions, making profit out of our pain, making yourself a name, ego tripping on our blood and tragedy...

My God! speaking to them reminds me of so many things --of bombs exploding, of people being kidnapped, of the silencer gun that gets you without a sound and you fall straight in the same spot where you had put one foot forward, a step forward of hope, of another day, just to make a living, just to survive...

It reminds me of so many things I can't even enumerate..it reminds me of me...of my own exile, of my own guilt maybe...the guilt of the survivor.

But beyond the guilt is the shame. Not my shame but yours. I feel it daily. I feel it daily enough to spit it, expectorate it, like some bothersome cough mucus. Oddly enough, I feel ashamed for you. I have even taken up your shame because you are too flattened out to feel anything...and it feels like a fucking cross on my shoulders...and there is no good Samaritan in sight.

So I avoid talking to them. They are in hell and I am in the purgatory. A hell you have created, a purgatory I am stationed in until...until...until...no one knows.

Mother said to me - you really ought to call Raouf, he's not well, I just spoke to him...
- Later maybe...
- No, now Layla, now! She said in an imperious voice that threw me back to when she was younger and full of vigor. Call now -- as if our life depended on it...

I am reluctant. I don't want to hear the voice from Baghdad. I am trying hard to heal my own wounds, my own scars...I change the band aids nightly...only to have them re-open again...

Cowardice on my part. I don't know what to do with so much human misery, with so much tragedy, with so much grief. Every time I call, I hear another story about so and so developing tumors out of the blue, of so and so getting killed, of so and so disappearing...maybe I am a coward after all.

So, I picked up the phone and dialed the number.

- Hello Layla so good to hear you.

For a moment, I felt all was fine...the good old familiar days are back.

- Raouf, how are you, am sorry I have not been in touch...
- Layla darling, I always ask of your news. You're here even if you don't call...

So much affection even during a willful absence --I felt small.

- How are you Raouf, how have you been ?
- I am fine, the garden is blossoming you should see it...the cats are fine...the family is expanding, she had 4 more kittens...
- Mom told me you’re not feeling well...
- It's nothing, it will pass...
- Please tell me, what's going on ?

Pause.

- Raouf ?
- Yes am here...it's just, you know...I can't get over it Layla. I tried, I tried very hard, I can't. I see their faces daily, they visit me at night...I am in a prison, Layla, a real prison...
- Raouf, I told you you need professional help, listen, I heard they have this new center for torture victims in Baghdad...
- Layla, stop it. Are you mocking me ?!
- Of course not Raouf, what makes you say that ?!
- What psychological help are you talking about?! this is just publicity for them, for their own clan and sect...
- But there must be something, someone to help you, you can't go on this way, it's been over...

He interrupts.

- There is no one to help me and even if I do manage to get some help, and I do need help, do you think I will ever heal ? Everyday I venture out, I hear about someone being killed by a bomb or a gunman, every street is a death row, every move is danger, for God's sake, they are now using helicopters to abduct people from their homes – government and militia vans and cars are out of fashion, they use helicopters..they land near where you live, grab you, put you in the helicopter and you disappear in some prison and everyday I hear stories of those who are tortured in prison, some never make it out alive...so what help do you want me to seek ? You want to help me? Get me out of here...this is how you can help me...everything reminds me, everything...

Here he was and here I was and for both us, everything reminded us of what it was, of what it is now...
- Give me security first, he added before we hung up…

Security, security, security...maybe security will quell those nightly screams in the dark, maybe security will alleviate the loneliness of the experience...maybe security is knowing that you may remain alive today, tomorrow, in a couple of days...security means you can envisage next week, a fortnight, maybe a month...security means you can start healing because in your mind you may still have a future to look forward to...security.

Of course Raouf is right, how can anyone heal if at all, when everything reminds you of the torturer's face? when every heard explosion, bullet, gun, helicopter, patrol, remind you of that body, that body that has become an open field of sadism, amusement, denigration, humiliation....that body that represents your integrity, that body that is broken into daily, where its frontiers and borders need no passport, no visa, no secret code and no password, when your body no longer belongs to you, when your body is a political tool, a weapon -- the air base, the military camp, the militia's training grounds....that body that is still trying to make it another day, to survive another day...

How can Raouf leave the hell of his mind, when he still lives in it ?

Isn't that Aushwitz ? isn't that a Holocaust ? Except their holocaust ended and ours began ever since...

It is not possible to heal. It is like taking your sick gold fish, putting band aids on it, and throwing it back in the same water where it got sick in the first place...
The story of Iraq is the story of band aids over open wounds, a gold fish thrown back in the same stale, stagnant, putrid pond...

And here was Raouf in his lonely screams, in his silent screams, and everyone around expects him to get over it...get over the fact that he was tortured to near death because he was wearing boxers and was holding a can of beer, in his own house.

And here is Raouf wanting to leave that stagnant, putrid pond and here I am missing it, wanting to go home...

What home? He has no home and I have no home...we are both fugitives...we are both in the obscurity, in the loneliness, in the scream of exile...he happens to be inside, I happen to be outside...but we are both stuck, stuck in the experience of "liberation".

Today is Saturday, the weekend for you. You will probably give this post 2mn, nod your heads and go on about your daily activities...life goes on you say to yourselves. Yes your life goes on unhampered by the consequences of your crimes and your silence about them. You will be hitting the mall, or some park, visit your family, friends, you may go fishing, go clubbing, dining, dancing...whatever you have in mind, you will most likely do it, because you can afford to do it...you will not get kidnapped, abducted, shot at, or end up like a piece of vegetable, sodomized till paralysis in some secret dungeon of Freedom and Democracy.

Oh! but you will whine and complain all the same, whine and complain away your pettiness, your trivialities, your futility, your shallowness, your hollowness, your apathy and indifference...these are part of your daily regiment, your daily diet...

And people like Raouf, thousands of them, people like myself will stay in that eternal night, screaming our guts away in silence...

After I hung up with Raouf, I put on my running shoes and grabbed my music player and headed to the door. I had to have some air, I was choking, I was suffocating with reality.

It was well past sunset, I took my familiar route, and walked briskly...very briskly, and my legs started to run...I ran and ran, like a woman on the fringes of madness, I ran past the familiar anonymous houses that have become so much part of my d├ęcor, past the empty plots where garbage is piled up, passed several hard cement brick walls...the Summer movement blasting in my ears...

In the past, I would have slowed down a little...right where the scent of Jasmin would be emanating, from behind one of those gated walled houses... I would slow down and inhale the Summer fragrance...not that evening though. I did get a whiff of it, but it smelled of Summer Death.

Stop Floating.

The nice thing about blogging is that you really don't need to tow to anyone's political expectations...and frankly am getting tired of the Flotilla story...

Article, after article, after article...

Come on folks, did it take the lives of 9 Turks to make anyone realize the despicable nature of the Zionist entity ?

I get rather irritated when people get carried away with too much emotionalism.

Sure thing - anger is justified, so is the rage...prosecution is called for, lifting/breaking that damned siege is a must...but please let us not lose sight of the bigger picture...

Someone once remarked to me - politics are for eagles, not sparrows...and eagles have this capacity to look at the bigger picture, because they can hover high enough...

New terms are making their way into the political discourse...just today, I heard of the new TRIANGLE - Turkey, Iran, Syria...In another instance, Erdogan is likened to Saladin...and Ahmadinejad to Cyrus the Great...

Please folks, don't turn tragedy into comedy...getting carried away with a few slogans do not effect change...

Keeping a perspective, is keeping your head cool...collective hysteria is no solution...

Turkey still has ties with Israel, bilateral ties of military and economic nature...
Iran is still occupying Iraq, and Syria, in its typical political opportunism, is latching on to the so-called big regional players...

Flotilla this and Flotilla that...how many Iraqis, Syrians, Egyptians, Lebanese, etc...died for the Palestinian cause ? Does anyone ask this question if at all ? Does anyone remember them, if at all ?

They numbered way more than 9 for sure...

And those who did not die for the Palestinian cause, gave millions of dollars instead...literally millions of dollars. And besides Iraq, Saudi Arabia is one of them. It has poured millions of dollars to Arafat then, and millions of dollars to Hamas now.

I am giving you facts, not some bullshit.

And Hamas keeps playing that dirty game...the dirty game of typical Palestinian political opportunism...one minute it drums for Iran, one minute it drums for Turkey, but one thing for sure, Hamas does not drum for the Arabs...none of them...

So I will remind everyone that Turkey has relations with Israel even though they are shaken for the moment. And I will remind everyone that Iran has collaborated with the Great Satan the U.S in Iraq and has divided Iraqi society with its sectarianism through its parties and militias....and that those "backward" Arabs did fight tooth and nail both the Ottoman and Persian Empires (over and above the Western one) and that this new Turkish Renaissance or that the Persian Revival were not possible at all without the DESTRUCTION of IRAQ - of ARAB IRAQ.

And I will keep hammering this fact into your heads...because you don't really need to be a reader of geopolitics to understand that simple evident TRUTH.

Now, I will leave you to think and think beyond your noses and beyond your slogans, if it is at all possible...and if by chance you do manage to conjure up anything remotely logical, you will understand that IRAQ was and is at the core of it...

And just because we are obscured from your news and your TV screens does not mean we are not here....and it certainly does not mean I am not here to remind you...to remind you once more, again.

Iraq - the Black Hole of Forgetfulness

It's turning out to be a black hole series...but seriously Iraq is the Black Hole par excellence...
There is a total blackout of the news coming from Iraq...one remains with the distinct impression that NOTHING is happening there...all is calm on the Western Front...this blacking out is really amazing...you see Iraq is a fait accompli - a done deal...

Forgotten the thousands that died, forgotten the exiled in thousands, forgotten the displaced, forgotten the poverty, forgotten the D.U, forgotten the mass graves, forgotten the secret prisons, forgotten the sectarian militias that still rule, forgotten the corruption and pillaging, forgotten the destruction, forgotten the occupation...forgotten the Iraqi HOLOCAUST, the GENOCIDE -- as if it never happened.

Amazing is not ?

Well not really, it's not amazing at all...because in the back of those little minds of yours...and trust me they are tiny these little minds of yours...you must have read somewhere, sometime, that around 50'000 criminal american dickheads are withdrawing from Iraq -- so all is cool now...there is no more occupation, you've done a great job...all will fall back into place...eventually...nah, let them sort it out...

So what is going on in Iraq ? No one knows...no one knows...but I know, a little...there is no more haggling over the whore Iran nuclear dossier, it's been quiet on that front...so the whore is relaxing for a little while...she's taking a pause...and Turkey's flotilla has captured the hearts and minds...

This is how it all happens...if they feed you enough of it, whatever it is, you shall salivate...

I can hear a stray dog barking in the dark, in the blackness...somewhere out there, from my window...

And that's just about it.

Celine Dion in Guantanamo's Black Holes

Go figure why I chose this title...maybe because Celine Dion's songs irritate the shit out of me...

There is this radio station I like to listen to, they have some good oldies, and yeah I like oldies (sue me) but the unnerving thing is that they play Celine Dion's songs once too many...

I remember a particular night, they played over 3 songs from Dion's. At one point, I was seriously considering throwing the radio out of the window. Of course I could have changed stations, but I somehow felt stuck in my utter annoyance and I was not going to bow down...I had to make a statement. Stop Celine Dion's songs. Just stop them. Stop them Now !

Later on I realized the absurdity of my reaction...after all she's just a singer with a squeaky mousy voice and it's not big deal, really...until...

Until I found out that those same Celine Dion's songs were being used in Gitmo. I found that out yesterday night, and it sort of hit me...I made the connection somehow, somewhere...

I found out that Celine Dion's songs were being played for 12 hours non stop as a form of torture in Guantanamo. I am not sure if given the choice between techno shit and Celine Dion's shit, which one would be more merciful...

But this is not the only thing I found out...and I really need to refer the reader to the 3 parts series by Andy Worthington. (part 1) (part 2) (part 3- a must)

The testimonies accompanied me to bed, I did not know what to do with them...so I let them sleep next to me, until the right moment came, so I can gather them all together, in one cell, in one story...

Guantanamo is the story -- not of the detainees -- but of America.  The detainees survived it, deeply scarred, deeply wounded but survivors...America, on the other hand will be forever tainted by its story in Guantanamo.

Tainted is not the right word...because what happened in those cages, the black holes of Guantanamo are not just taint, they are the black holes of America, of American consciousness -- a misnomer, an oxymoron, an anachronistic term, a meaningless word -- the black hole of America - where all is dark, hidden, covered, amnesic, numbed out....this is how I perceive America...and this is how I perceive Americans (most).

The black hole of Shame and Immorality. The black hole of Hatred and Spite. The black hole of Vengeance and Greed. The black hole of Indifference and Apathy. The black hole of Lies and Deceit. The black hole of Shallowness and intellectual Mediocrity...

I cannot do the reading for you...move your butts and do it yourself...everything is at your fingertips, you have no fucking excuses....but you don't care...you don't care how tainted you've become, nor do you care about the black holes in your heart....in your soul...

Because the story is no longer about politics...oh no, we've gone beyond politics...the story is about the soul now...and if you knew anything about the soul, you'd know that no soul is an island, not even in Guantanamo...

In other words, if you knew about God's laws, the Universe, the Cosmos, History, Nature, Karma, Morality, Ethics...I don't care what you call it, you can call it anything you like...if you just knew, if you were just a little cognizant, there would have been no Black Holes...

But haughty, arrogant, hateful, ignorant, stupid and morally lazy or should I say immoral -- is what you are...collectively are...

For years, years and years, the most grotesque acts have been committed in your name, your collective name (which for me is totally meaningless and worthless as you all are and I would not even buy that collective name not even for one old rusty dime), for years...and you have remained deaf, mute and blind...

Oh sure, you publish articles, the printed word, but did you make a difference ? Did you stop any of the atrocities committed in your name ?

Don't give me your usual shit -- I know it all by heart...and I know history too...and I know that people with lesser means were able to make a difference...but not you. Not you, because you are well all too complacent in the status quo and rocking the boat means rocking your own boat...you care so much about your little boxed lives and your daily nonsensical stupidities, you would not dare trade them for anything else...you see, you will always remain in a black hole yourselves...you and your government are not all that different, really...

Sometimes I wonder why I even bother -- you are fucking hopeless case...

But I do bother not for you, to hell with all of you...you are the least of my worries...your existence or non existence is the same for me...you are a no body insofar as I am concerned...

I bother for those who had to endure Celine Dion's songs for years on end...I bother for them...I bother because I know their cells were made of iron --  iron walls, iron beds, iron sheets, iron ceilings, iron doors, stuck in freezing temperatures, chained like wild animals, had their faces smeared with your "females" menstrual blood, sodomized in the black holes, the black holes of your minds...some after being raped where given injections, all kinds of injections...products, the same products you pride yourselves with, your so- called achievements, your so-called accomplishments, the products of your "science" and your "academic research"...Guinea pigs in your labs, bearded guinea pigs...some went mad, insane and some you killed...

You cannot stand anyone being not only different, but you cannot stand anyone sticking to Honor, Dignity and Faith...these are words you absolutely detest...because you have lost them ages ago...you have no dignity and you have no honor and you are totally faithless....these words are foreign to you...like those foreign looking ones you sodomized in Guantanamo, Bagram, Abu Ghraib, Camp Bucca, Camp Nama, Camp Cropper, Camp Delta, Camp Echo, Camp Iguana, Camp Zero....camp with no name....camp after camp after camp....

And now I see you're all a bunch of happy campers -- miserable, lost, confused, babbling idiotic, dumb...happy campers...in the black holes that you've created...the black holes of your hearts, the black holes of your souls...

A Lone Book in a Concentration Camp...

I have nothing to add to the humongous amount of information regarding the latest Jewish Israeli massacre...
And I hail Turkey (with reservations - because no major player however much we may like its immediate politics is a totally benign force). And in some way, if I am to choose between the Persian or Ottoman empire, I would opt for the latter,.anytime...

But Turkey aside, this massacre revealed what we have known all along, the total impotence of Arab regimes...and it also revealed the enormous support the Palestinian cause still mobilizes after 60 years of struggle...

Al-Jazeera Arabic has a full coverage of the latest Nazi Israeli massacres, actually it has nothing else but this coverage and interview after interview of testimonies from the activists detained and now released...

All of the testimonies were touching but there is one that stood out, and that testimony was by Mohamed Vall, one of Al-Jazeera's English correspondents. This guy is not only a journalist, he is also a writer, I can tell from the way he spoke...

And it is his story I will focus on tonight....because he encapsulated in a few minutes the whole Palestinian tragedy....but not only...

And despite my strong criticisms of both the Palestinian leadership whether it is Hamas or the PA, and despite my strong criticisms of Palestinian "intellectuals" (thinkers, writers, academics, journalists, activists, bloggers etc...and their supporters) and their most disgraceful stands vis a vis Iraq and the Iranian occupation of Iraq, I still feel that the Palestinian tragedy is not the tragedy of the Palestinians alone but the tragedy of all Arabs. And I still believe that at the core of all the Mideast conflicts up to 2003, at least, the Palestinian issue is the kernel...and by correlation the illegal racist existence of the Jewish entity called Israel...

But since 2003, we have another enemy, at least we Iraqis do, and it is called Iran that has done everything in its power to de-Arabize us through the ugliest forms of torture, ethnic cleansing and exile....worse than whatever has been witnessed from the Zionist entity....

Having said, that I will get back to the testimony I registered most...because it touched me the most...and that is of Mohamed Vall's. I am not sure what Vall's nationality is - maybe he is from Mauritania...but I cannot vouch for that...which reminds me, massive demonstrations are taking place everywhere...including Mauritania, and I saw the Mauritanians carrying pictures of President Saddam Hussein. I thought I'd mention that....because Iraq was a big player that had to be re-sized...and I know for a fact that had Iraq been fully sovereign, with all its military capabilities, Israel would have never dared to engage in such a carnage...

It is so easy to see why Iraq and its President had to go....leaving a huge political and strategic vacuum now filled by Turkey and Iran...

OK, I will try not to sidestep the issue no more...back to Mohamed Vall...as well as other testimonies that show the total savagery of the Jewish entity...

An Egyptian doctor that was released yesterday, said and this was corroborated by other witnesses - the wounded were left to bleed until death,  the activists were left with no water, no food, on top of the vessel's deck under the scorching sun....some were tortured while detained, insulted, and the Jewish racism was all too obvious -- the Westerners were treated better than the Muslims and the Arabs on board...

That Egyptian doctor said when the boat anchored in the Israeli port, there were hundreds of Israeli "citizens" applauding their army, even applauding the dying wounded...this is the true nature of the Jewish Zionist...make no mistake about it....it's a sick entity...deeply sick, deeply immoral, deeply vile, deeply racist, deeply murderous....

Mohamed Vall's testimony is fit for a novel...

Ten days before he boarded on his way to Gaza, he was reading an Oscar Wilde novel, a story about some prisoner...he took the book with him...he wanted to finish it during his sea trip...on the boat, Mohamed met an elderly man from Gaza with his wife. The man is a cardiac patient and he took his wife to Istanbul for treatment of colon cancer...this Palestinian couple was never allowed to return home...they boarded that ship in the hope of making it back home....back to Gaza...

When the criminal Jewish Zionist attacked the ship, Israeli soldiers grabbed ALL the belongings of the passengers, tore the suitcases, tore the clothes, confiscated the cells phones, the notebooks, the agendas, the money...and Mohamed's book...Right before the raid, the activists tried throwing their personal belongings into the sea, they did not want their privacy raided...cells phones were smashed, notebooks were thrown into the ocean, money carried for Gaza was distributed to other activists...

The book by Oscar Wilde on the Prisoner was grabbed and Mohamed Vall found himself in an Israeli cell, he was not allowed to take his book with him...but that elderly Palestinian man was there...a new book, a real story...

That elderly Palestinian man was very lost, very despaired, he kept asking Mohamed to stay by his side...as if Mohamed was his only anchor in this Israeli jail...Mohamed, during a period of 11 hours of imprisonment, got to intimately know and live the whole Palestinian tragedy as embodied in that man's story...

When different consuls came to check on their detained citizens....Mohamed said that this elderly man's eyes were filled with sadness and hopelessness...no consul of his country, of his land was there to mediate for him...
He was a prisoner in his own land...a land stolen by force, by brutality, by lies and by deceit...

Mohamed was released and found himself in Jordan...the elderly man was released and was allowed to return to his family in Gaza, but his wife, the cancer patient, is still held up and detained in her own country....in her own land....by foreigners....blond, blue eyed Ashekenazis, Europeans or by black haired, black eyed Africans from Ethiopian origins...

But the Palestinians know that the sympathy and solidarity exhibited in their regard is overwhelming....they are not alone...and history is merciless....it is all recorded in books...invisible books, invisible faces, nameless lists....all is recorded...

Gaza, the greatest concentration camp, the ghetto of the 21st century, enforced by none other than the survivors of concentration camps and ghettos...history is ashamed, she covers her face with a veil of shame...so do the Jews who died in Nazi concentration camps....they feel shame too...a great shame...

And I cannot forget Iraq.  For 13 years,13 years of a draconian embargo, an inhuman siege where not 1.5 million people were held hostages, but 24 million Iraqis were living in the greatest concentration camp for over a decade...how many mobilized for us when Iraqis were starving, dying off like flies from diseases and malnutrition...how many ?  The names can be counted on the fingers of one hand...

For over a decade, we lived in a ghetto, the hugest ghetto, the hugest concentration camp installed by America and Great Britain....how many spoke for us ? how many sailed towards us ? how many were willing to risk it for us ?

We were and are just a lone book....still a lone book, in a huge concentration camp. An American- Iranian camp.
